About me

Where I'm From

I have lived in many places over the years - including Florida, Illinois, Venezuela, New England and Northern Virginia - but I am extremely proud to be a Blacksburg resident for more than 20 years. Out of all the places I have lived, I can attest that the New River Valley is one of the best places to live in America.

My Education & Experience

I graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Tech in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Marketing. After college, I worked as a Marketing Specialist in the data communications, commercial real estate and engineering software industries. Later, while my three children were infants, toddlers and preschoolers, I worked part-time as the Assistant Director of Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. and also worked as a Real Estate Assistant for a top agent for 10 years.

Hobbies & Interests

I have three children, so we have a busy household! I love to read - let me know what you're reading - I love good book recommendations! While I'm not fast, I do enjoy running as a means of exercise and an excuse to listen to a good audiobook. I also love to travel! My favorite adventure was backpacking in Europe for a month with my husband. Just recently we celebrated our 20th anniversary with a wonderful trip to Greece and Italy - it was amazing!
